The Britz Estate exhibits typical Bauhaus elements. Characteristic of Bauhaus is the building's flat roof. The design is very simple, with no frills. We see the utilization of geometric shapes and primary colors. The square balconies are highlighted with a very vivid blue background. The very top of the building is lined with a series of very small square windows. Very unigue to the estate, nestled in its Neuköln neighborhood, is its actual shape. Its shape is very similiar to that of a sports stadium and gives the effect of immensity. Its circular structure demontrates a unity, a fluidity. With its lack of corners, the building is a continuum. The apartments, then, create an interior, which provides the focal point and natural beauty for the community. The view from the top of the steps, leading into the interior of the Estate, is breathtaking. One gets the sense of having stumbled upon a lost treasure. The pond, surrounded by trees and a meadow exhibits the perfect utilization of space and nature. Very important to Bauhaus ideology, the Britz Estate displays the living environment of the building.
