As for this trip, the fact that I am quite interested in Germans and Germany and that my international traveling experiences have thus far been limited to Canada, I figured that I should go. My interest in Germany started in junior year of high school when I learned about Bismarck and it was then furthered when I took Ms. Hoehn's German History class here at Vassar and became fascinated with the terrible yet ingenious Adolf Hitler. I also feel that I really cannot ignore Germany with my strong interest in the Second World War. Unfortunately, my attempt at learning the German language failed. Oh well. I think I'll manage.
