The Vassar Haiti Project, founded in 2001, is a collaborative volunteer effort supporting the welfare of artists in haiti and the education and the nutrition of school children in the village of Chermaitre, Haiti.

Through art sales and outreach programs, the Project promotes understanding of Haitian culture and society, and provides funds for improving the infrastructre of the village and the welfare of the children and their families. Watch our documentary film:

The 8th Annual Haitian Art Auction & Sale was a big success!

We sold 165 paintings and raised $50,000. A big thank you to the hundreds of people who came to learn about Haiti, buy its art, and help support educational and related initiatives in Chermaitre, Haiti!
