Description
of Research |
Dr. Dorsinville's current research interests include the study of the magnitude and relaxation time of the optical nonlinear response of organic materials to determine the suitability of the optical nonlinearities for potential applications (optoelectronics, phase conjugation, optical computing) and to provide basic knowledge about the mechanisms of the nonlinear optical response. Time resolved degenerate and nondegenerate four wave mixing, zscan, and various pump and probe techniques are used to characterize nonlinearities and carrier dynamics. Another focus of his research is the fabrication and characterization of organic light emitting diodes. Specific goals of this program are to identify new polymer emitters and to improve long term stability of organic based electroluminescent devices. |
