Description
of Research |
Dr. Perez-Blanco's research activities focus on the understanding of the basic principles involving enhancement of simultaneous heat and mass transfer in the presence of an insoluble phase. Experimental work and theoretical analysis search for an explanation that has eluded researchers in many countries. Understanding of the basics of combined heat and mass transfer across interfaces has led to valuable design information for advanced absorbers used in novel heat pumps. On another front, the development of new heating/cooling cycles activated by low-grade energy, are also of interest. Conceptual design of high-efficiency, renewable based cycles is an emerging area of our research. |
