Description
of Research |
Dr. Amos' research interest includes modeling and control of dynamic response of flexible aerospace vehicle structures in aerodynamic and microgravity environments. Of particular research interest are the effects of flexibility and configurational evolution processes such as in-flight deployment and assembly on the dynamics, stability and controllability of spacecraft systems. The interactions of flexible aircraft systems with the aerodynamic environment and on-board control systems leading to aeroservoelastic phenomena are also of primary interest. His teaching activities include linear and nonlinear dynamics, aeroelasticity, stability and control of flexible structural systems, and the orbital and attitude dynamics of spacecraft systems. |
