Description
of Research |
Dr. Momoh's research involves the development of optimization methods for power system operation and planning in four research focuses: New Optimization Theory based on extending Interior Point Methods. This theory has a 12:1 speed advantage over other optimization methods; Application of artificial intelligence scheme for distribution automation and controls; Advanced control scheme for detection and diagnosis of fault in hybrid electric car; Design of probablistic criteria for reliability assessment of the restructured power systems industry. This work is in support of research needs of the utility industry development of a unified index for voltage and angle stability. |
