Description of Research
Dr. Hughes' research interests include performance enhancement techniques for both software and hardware aspects of parallel computing. Her main focus is on shared memory multiprocessor systems. Recently, she has been involved in an effort to alleviate inherent bottlenecks associated with shared memory multiprocessors via task dispatching techniques.
