Description
of Research |
I am working on bioprocess design and optimization for cultivation of microbial and photosynthetic cells as well as on environmental biotechnology. My current research topics include bioreactor/photobioreactor design and scale up, solar light collection and utilization in photobioreactors, mitigation of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and sulphur oxides, production of renewable energy sources (microbial oils, ethanol and hydrogen), production of various metabolites (mainly antioxidants and bioinsecticides) by photosynthetic, bacteria and fungi cells, wastewater treatment and immobilized cell technology. |
