Description
of Research |
This group is currently conducting studies on the effects of catalyst parameters on the oxidation and remediation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other important environmental reaction systems (i.e., N2O Reduction, Hydrotreatment, and De-NOx). The group is also developing methods for characterizing the phase behavior and cleaning performance of several surfactant/ supercritical fluid mixtures for the replacement of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and halogenated hydrocarbon solvents for the degreasing and cleaning of precision metal parts. Other research includes the optimization of molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFCs) performance for stationary power generation applications. Heterogeneous catalysis; Catalytic materials; Environmentally benign process technologies; Interfacial sciences. |
