Description
of Research |
My current research focuses on magnetospheric struture and dynamics. In particular, my colleagues and I are making detailed quantitative comparisons between the results of 3-D MHD and observations during actual events. A major focus has been to better understand energy coupling between the solar wind and the magnetosphere, and the storage and release of that energy during geomagnetic events known as storms and substorms. I am also active in science education reform both locally and nationally, working with schools districts and other organizations. |
